I am the songwriter, singer and maker of other sounds for the “band” Open Swimmer.
This year I will complete Open Swimmer’s second album. It’s yet to be titled but it’s gonna be a bloody relief once it’s done.
Looking forward to letting you listen to it soon.

I was asked to attach a unique tone to each abstract, floating object and for these disjointed sounds to eventually culminate in a satisfying resolution as we see that they make up the words “More thought built in”.

For the beginning of this story I was asked to musically recreate the tone of a whimsical, slightly cheeky beer ad. The twist is that right near the end we come to see that this guy is suffering in silence and the music takes a more serious, thought provoking turn.
I worked on this job with the beautiful people at Risk Sound. We were asked to create a futuristic vibe that felt inclusive and friendly. BPme makes life easy so we wanted to make it an easy feeling.
A three second sting for the titles of this ad. Was heaps of fun trying all sorts of ideas with “playground” ish instruments.
Another one with the legends at Risk Sound. This was a beautiful video to work on. The music was to draw the viewer in. Helping them understand the grief the whole community feels after the death of a young person.
Another collab between myself and Risk Sound. There was a nice amount of back and forth ideas with this one. We were asked to accentuate the busyness and uncertainty of running a small business while supporting the “journey” element of growing that business through the years. Was a fun one.

I was asked to create an organic, “down on the farm” vibe while keeping it family friendly and not too Deliverance (as if that’s what I was thinking). Sadly I had to make this while on holidays and didn’t have a single real life instrument anywhere. Thought it worked out well.
Twist: Kraft Singles are now Dairylea Slices…. Or are they…. (see my kraft singles work two years later).

This relatively long online promo video was sent to me with a very specific brief as far as edits and vibe goes. It was cool to find ways to embellish the driving, percussive element each time it comes in. A fun job.
I was approached to score this beautiful short film by Palate Family Farm. Made as part of a competition for The International Wood Culture Society. Filmed in The Redwoods, Great Otway National Park, Victoria, Australia.
My work “Ghost” was written for the Federation Bells at Birrarung Marr, Melbourne and has been playing weekly for 5 years running.
An installation/performance work that was commissioned for the Festival Of Live Art. A collaboration between director Amelia Ducker and St. Martin’s Youth Art Centre , I was delighted to create an original score and sound design for this beautiful experiential artwork.
St. Martin’s describe it as:
“Genius invites you into a series of immersive encounters with six unique thinkers, where each Genius will present their perspective on the topic of their expertise.
this event is a unique opportunity to see life through an alternative lens – a surprising, eclectic walk through the inner- workings of a group of exceptional minds.”
